- Dont expect Taiwanese to speak english for you. Learn chinese for them instead. 

- Get your thesis done fast, and if it's good, you can apply for international conference, they may fund your traveling expenses.

- A better learning way is to try it by yourself, let your advisor corrects you. Rather than waiting for advisor to tell you what to do.

- Remember to behave well, because we are a guest in Taiwan. Just like how you should behave in someone else's house
