Let cherish and embrace every moment of your MBA journey at NTPU
Right before coming to Taiwan, my first goal was choosing the right program and university for my MBA journey which fulfills both of my desire to live in the place, which is near to the city center and program which profits my career plan. Public universities are more well-known in Taiwan therefore my best choice was National Taipei University. MBA in finance program has the best professors for the business field whom I could learn lot of things academically.
Firstly, I was worried about living in a foreign country for the first time, however, after coming to Taiwan every confusion left behind my back because of the people who are very kind-hearted and ready to help over everything that I ask for. Especially, college staff and other fellow students both Taiwanese and foreign students were super friendly and I have a lot to learn from them.
University campus structure is very complex compared to my home country. The scenery of our campus is very beautiful and provides facilities which make students live peacefully and promote their self-care by various kind of activities such as baseball, basketball as well as by a separate student activity center. Sunset jog around the lake and bicycling are my favorite activity on campus to enjoy my free time besides my study. Moreover, grocery and public transportation are very convenient, and students can make a small trip to nearby cities in 40 to 50 minutes by MRT. Also, I have had a chance to be part of Taiwanese drama by doing a part-time job which was once in a life-time experience for me.
Our MBA department usually organizes field trip and activities among students which make a warm bond for the whole department and enjoying local food and sightseeing gives us insight about Taiwanese culture and history.
It is worth to mention that besides developing myself professionally, studying and living with foreign students gives me another new perspective to see the world through my eyes. For example, my friends from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, and the US have different cultures, ways of living, and routine as well. Being friends and learning from them is a very astounding experience for me and one of the best things in studying abroad. After one semester, Taiwan already feels like home to me and as everyone knows how fast time flew by, I think we should cherish every moment of our lives. Also, I really encourage other new students to embrace these moments with us.
