Go outside of your comfort zone, explore and try to learn about the local culture and Mandarin
National Taipei University (NTPU) is the only university in Taiwan that I applied to for my master's program. Aside from its stunning campus, easy location, and free Chinese courses, the first consideration was the curriculum that they offer, which is extremely welcoming to international students. The program focuses on international business, with various courses focusing on finance and innovation. NTPU also offers very experienced and diversified professors and faculty members, and I am convinced that they will help me widen my global view.
I had so many good memories while pursuing my master's degree at NTPU. The best ones were those I shared with my classmates, who later became my friends. Aside from the curriculum, I suppose meeting new people is something to look forward to when experiencing cultural exchange. The professors and department administrators are very kind and helpful; they are the program's pillars. That is why it didn't take much effort for me to get used to my new environment.
If you're someone who is still on the fence about which university to attend, NTPU is a wonderful option because it provides real-world experience as well as academic quality. And to all future students, don’t be too hard on yourself. Do not hesitate to ask questions and participate in activities that will widen and improve your understanding. Go outside of your comfort zone, explore and try to learn about the local culture and Mandarin, since this can help you adjust to your new surroundings more readily.
