Persistence, Patience, and Continuous Self-improvement
After graduating from National Taipei University with a GMBA, my job search was a journey of persistence, patience, and continuous self-improvement as I looked for opportunities that matched my growing skills and experience. It eventually led me to a Country Finance Manager role with WCS-PNG, where I could apply both my professional finance background and the broader business knowledge gained from my GMBA.
The main difficulties I faced were finding opportunities that matched my qualifications and experience, competing in a competitive job market, and dealing with periods of uncertainty while waiting for the right opportunity. I also had to continuously improve how I presented my skills and experience to potential employers and stay persistent despite setbacks.
I overcame these difficulties by staying persistent, continuously improving my CV and interview skills, and actively looking for opportunities that aligned with my qualifications and career goals. I also used my GMBA and professional experience to build confidence, expand my network, and present myself more effectively to employers.
I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped my career so far. My journey has taught me the importance of persistence, continuous learning, and staying open to new opportunities, and I look forward to continuing to grow both professionally and personally.
